I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Author of the "Out of This World" Comic Book and Activity series for kids!

I am health counselor and have been working with youth and families for 7 years. I currently work at Hillcrest Family Services in Dubuque, Iowa. Presently, my positions include Family Centered Therapist, Outpatient Therapist, Resource Mapping Coordinator for Severely Emotionally Disturbed Children, and Family Support Program Coordinator for eighteen Dubuque Community schools. I have also designed, developed, and maintained www.youthpsych.com, an online community website offering support and information for parents and professionals. On top of that I am also the author of the “Out of This World” comic book and guidance activity series, the first of its kind to integrate adult guided social skill lessons with the comic book format. I have also developed the website, www.ootwcomic.com, to enhance the “Out of This World” series.

Whew. Seems like a lot when I type it all out. I am constantly on the look out for contributors for my many sites, general business partners for my many projects, and acquaintances in which to share my experiences and favorite past times.
